How “LISTEN UP, WRITE IT DOWN” works
Como funciona “LISTEN UP, WRITE IT DOWN
1) Listen to the original short video clip in English. It may be an interview, a speech, a conversation on the street, or a scene from a movie.
Ouça o videoclipe curto original em inglês. Pode ser uma entrevista, um discurso, uma conversa na rua ou uma cena de um filme.
2) Try to write down as accurately as you can what you hear, word-for-word. LISTEN AS MANY TIMES AS YOU NEED! (don’t worry if you’re not sure);
Tente anotar com a maior precisão possível o que você ouve, palavra-por-palavra. OUÇA QUANTAS VEZ VOCÊ PRECISA! (não se preocupe se não tiver certeza);
3) Now you can do one of two things:
Agora você pode fazer uma de duas coisas:
a) If you need a little assistance, you can listen to a “clean” version in English read by Josh, with all the words enunciated and pronounced clearly, to help you identify words that you might not recognize; or…
a) Se precisar de um pouco de ajuda, pode ouvir uma versão “limpa” em inglês lida por Josh, com todas as palavras enunciadas e pronunciadas com clareza, para te ajudar a identificar palavras que você talvez não reconheça; ou…
b) Go straight away to the answer and compare what you wrote to the original text from the clip, to see how much you were able to understand (click on the little “arrow” to reveal the correct answer).
